Me, Myself and I:

Hello everyone! I'm a passionate and active young woman with a love for sports, yoga, meditation, dance, and music. Originally a science student, I had the opportunity to pursue my dream of studying architecture at the University of Science Malaysia in Penang after successfully passing drawing tests and interviews.

One of the highlights of my university journey was participating in an international exchange program with students from the University of Timisoara in Romania. Living with two local host families provided me with a deep immersion into Romanian family culture. Additionally, I enjoyed educational visits with my master studio mates at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where we had the privilege of exploring architectural works by Hong Kong students.

Participating in volunteer programs for stray dogs during my free time enables me to give back to the community and provide care for underprivileged animals.

MY EXCHANGES AND VOLUNTEERING EXPERIENCES

Global Exchange Students in Timisoara, Romania

I participated in an International Cultural Exchange Program in Timișoara, Romania, for a duration of two months. This project aimed to engage Romanian children aged 6 to 15 years. I was selected to deliver classes at two schools, including a public school and a private institution named Waldorf. Romania was a communist country and ended in 1989, I was targeted to deliver in this program to focus on promoting a culture of peace and fostering an appreciation for cultural diversity, contributing to sustainable development.

During my time in Timișoara, Romania, I had the privilege of staying with two wonderful host families. The first family, depicted in the first picture, had three adorable children with whom I enjoyed spending time, particularly during winter for skiing adventures. The second family, shown in the second picture, had a career background in the construction industry and international manufacturing. Notably, my host father, Daniel Tellman, graciously invited me to share my studies in architecture with his students at the University of Timisoara. These experiences enriched my cultural exchange journey and provided me with valuable insights into both Romanian family life and professional pursuits in diverse industries.

An Educational Visit to Hong Kong Polytechnic University

My educational visit to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University broadened my experiences, allowing me to interact with students and gain insight into their design journey within Hong Kong's architecture and landscape. We appreciate the opportunity to visit the Jockey Club Innovation Tower at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, designed by architect Zaha Hadid and completed. This iconic structure serves as the headquarters for the university's School of Design, showcasing state-of-the-art design studios, laboratories, workshops, and exhibition spaces.

Volunteering in Stray Association in Malaysia (Woofmywoof and New Life Animal Shelter)

I have a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and I dedicate my time to volunteering with stray animal associations in Malaysia, namely Woofmywoof and New Life Animal Shelter. Through these organizations, I contribute by providing care and support to underprivileged animals, which is incredibly rewarding and close to my heart.

One of my unforgettable memories was participated in a project aimed at assisting an uncle and his maid who lived in a jungle area devoid of food and electricity. Our goal was to build a house for them so they could provide care for their dog. This experience was deeply fulfilling, as it allowed me to directly contribute to improving the lives of both the people and their beloved pet in challenging circumstances.
